At Ambitious Resources Limited, we are committed to proactively managing, measuring, and minimising our environmental impacts. We recognise that resource efficiencies not only contribute to our bottom line but also enable us to share benefits with our clients and shareholders. While we are proud to operate as a low-impact organisation, we acknowledge the importance of evaluating and managing our environmental risks to ensure the continuity of our services. Additionally, both existing and potential employees are increasingly interested in and supportive of our environmental performance.

How We Manage Environmental Impact

Responsibility for managing our environmental impacts falls under the purview of Ambitious Resources Limited’s Directors. We have established a robust environmental management system across the organisation, complemented by a comprehensive environment policy. This framework allows us to monitor and manage our environmental impacts effectively, continually improving our performance.

Our environmental management system is facilitated internally and reinforced through regular monthly meetings with our employees.

Commitment to Waste Reduction and Recycling

Our primary goal is to reduce waste generation and promote recycling across the Ambitious Resources Limited Group. All residual waste generated by Ambitious Resources Limited is utilised to generate green power for London Homes through incineration.

We actively encourage our employees to use paper judiciously, emphasising the importance of printing only when necessary. Furthermore, we have implemented Group-wide recycling initiatives for specific waste streams, including paper, obsolete IT equipment, and consumables such as printer cartridges.

Beyond reducing environmental impacts, we seek to influence behavioural change among our employees and reward innovative ideas through our monthly employee award scheme. We also collaborate with clients and suppliers to help them reduce their environmental impacts. For instance, when implementing new systems for our clients, we focus on eliminating redundant processes and transitioning from paper-based services to online alternatives, wherever feasible. This approach not only lessens environmental impacts but also lowers costs and enhances our clients’ services.

Active Commitment to Carbon Emission Reduction

While we already maintain a low-carbon intensity business, we acknowledge the importance of further reducing our carbon emissions. This commitment is not only vital to our stakeholders but also aligns with our drive for greater operational efficiency. Our focus areas for managing environmental impacts revolve around energy use within our offices and business travel.

Business Travel Management

For business travel, we actively encourage our employees to opt for alternatives to car travel. This includes promoting the use of public transport and providing season ticket loans, as well as offering oyster pre-paid cards for Tube and Bus travel. Additionally, we foster a culture of cycling to work through our cycle-to-work scheme, contributing to reduced carbon emissions.
